My mom was a huge fan of Mr. Presley, and she has turned myself into a huge fan also. She has every record that he recorded, even from the sun record company. I still have them and still play them and sing along with him. I love him and pray that he is at piece and loving eternal life with god.
I have just been to see Elvis's personal items at the o2 arena here in the UK i was only 10 when this handsome man died, and to see all his items , including the iconic black leather outfit among hundreds of items is truly incredible, i saw clothes his mum and dad wore, Elvis's sun glassed, Keys to Graceland, concert costumes, cars ... well you name it , it was there all shipped over by Lisa Marie from Graceland, just to let us who never got to see Elvis have a glimpse into their world, truly fantastic.
It was the thrill of a lifetime when my friend called and told me we had tickets to go see Elvis in person, we were excited beyond belief. This was in 1973 at the convention center in Tampa, Florida. I went back later to see him at the hotel where he was staying, I saw him coming out with his bodyguards to get into his limo, caught him before he went to his second show, he was so very nice talking to all of us. It is still so hard to believe that he is gone, I always have and still listen to his music today, he will always be in our hearts. Love You Elvis. I am 68 yrs old and I keep hoping that one day I will get to see Graceland before I die, been a dream of mine.
I think about this handsome man daily. He had such a big impact in the world of rock and roll. I have been to Graceland 2 times, and cry like a baby everytime. The goosebumps are like nothing I have ever experienced. I always wanted my parents to take me to see him in concert....and of course they always told me I was to young. I was born in 1967, and by 1972 I was hooked on his music beautiful voice. I remember setting in front of the television watching cartoons, when the news came across the screen. I set and cried for hours. My parents couldn't believe that I took it so hard. He was the only man, I really truly wanted to be able to see in person. He was a Godly man, and I know that I will see him in heaven one day. Love you Elvis.....you will NEVER EVER be forgotten!!!
Elvis gone but never forgotten. What a wonderful human being a loving son to his parents and great respect for woman. His voice is like no other nor will ever be. Looking forward to seeing him in the new world one day, Revelation 21:4 He will wipe out every tear from your eye and death will be no more neither outcry or pain anymore. The former things have passed away. Write because these things are faithful and true. Miss you Elvis. Sleep peacefully.
