Elvis (literally) gave his life performing for his fans. So much is made of his death, the days preceeding, and how/why? August 16, 1977 is important in the life/legacy of Elvis Presley but the fact remains that Elvis was the greatest Entertainer who ever lived and reigned for THREE DECADES. Even in his last Concert(s) his voice was...magnificent and was never "enhanced" by digital/analog techniques as is the standard today (sadly).
I was 6 years old when Elvis died, I have a collection of his old 45's. Used to listen to them all the time as a small child, now I have them in storage preserved and locked away. Now I listen to him on CD. I love him and think he was a beutiful talented individual who had real talent and compassion for all people. LOve u Elvis, U are now an angel for so many people, and I am sure God gets a live performance with front row seats. Love Ya!
You left us much too soon. You are not in the arms of your loving God that made you in his image and likeness. J. D. Sumner is not there and you two sing prases to God just like you did here on earth. I hope to see you when I get there. Welcome Me.
Ive always been an Elvis fan. He was born 10 years before me and we are both Capricon birth signs as I was born on the 16th of January 1945. I love his music and so do my children and my grandchildren. I will always regret never having the chance to meet Elvis in person. God Bless you Elvis.
